ABOUT SAME
The Samoa Association of Manufacturers and Exporters is a trade association that was established in 1981 with a view to providing the following for Samoa's manufacturer and exporters:
- Representation of Members' interests before Government
- Dissemination of information and training (we are SQA accredited to provide HACCP and ISO training in Samoa)
- Organization of trade fairs
- Skills development and marketing enhancement.
As at December 2015 there are 100 SAME member companies covering a range of businesses and industries in Samoa, from agro-processors, to food and beverage producers, service providers including banks and insurance companies, and garment and handicraft producers
Meetings of Members are scheduled monthly, at which matters of common interest are discussed.
The Association is led by an Executive Committee comprising the President (Tagaloa Eddie Wilson), Vice President (Teleiai James Potoi), Treasurer (Su'a Louis Schwalger), Acting Secretary (Stefan Szegedi), and eight (8) Executive Members: Agnes Kerslake, Enele Westerlund, Tusa Victor Vaai, Lisa Vaai, Taulapapa Maria Leota, Robert Pereira, Tuifuisa'a Tom Ola'aiga, Stefan Szegedi.
The Association has been well supported by members and sponsors, from both the public and private sectors. The Executive Committee is committed to furthering the work of the Association, and to more widely promoting its activities, thereby increasing the value it can add to its members, and through them and their businesses, to Samoa.
